The CLC provides an opportunity for two-way dialogue between Terrapure Environmental and the local community with regards to the Terrapure Stoney Creek Regional Facility in the former city of Stoney Creek, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The site is permitted to receive non-hazardous, industrial, commercial and institutional residual materials, such as those from the local steel industry and infrastructure development. The committee meets on a quarterly basis to discuss operational and other issues related to the Terrapure Stoney Creek Regional Facility. It is comprised of citizen members from the local community immediately surrounding the facility, and representatives of Terrapure Environmental, the City of Hamilton and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
