Born in Sicily Italy
Came to Canada in 1963
Finished high school and worked at the RBC from 1973 to 1988
Raised 4 sons and then went back to school at Mohawk to take an insurance accreditation in REBO.
Worked with her husband Gord in their insurance company for a few years.
Went back to the bank and took a communications course at McMaster.
Coached hockey for 5 years while her sons played from Tike till novice.
Opened Runner’s Den in 1996 and organized the Road to Hope for Haiti and then opened it up to all charities including City Kidz, Liberty for Youth and Boyz and Girls Club, Edudeo etc.
Competed in 9 Ironmen, at least 20 Marathons, and another 30 half Marathons and numerous other races including Around the Bay 5 times.
Won the Athena Award, Woman of the Year and the Spirit Award
Carried the torch for the Pan Am games
2018 ran for City Councillor Ward 7 and won!!
